Carolyn Fox’s Hollywood Spotlight Features Two Extremely Versatile Artists, Jade Steel and Rebecca Zapen

This week, Carolyn Fox welcomes two extremely versatile singer-songwriters to the show as her special guests.

First up is Jade Steel.  Jade grew up in Northern California’s Humboldt County, where the “Reggae on the River” festival is held each year.  Which may explain why, in addition to rock and metal tunes, Jade also writes and performs reggae, world music, and jazz.  He’s been touring with his music internationally since he was 13-years-old and just returned from performing in India.

In the course of a year, our second guest, Rebecca Zapen, married, left her home town, gave birth to her first child, and recorded most of her new CD, “Nest.”   Not only is she a model of how to balance family and a music career, but also a talented singer-songwriter, who plays guitar, ukulele and a wickedly jazzy violin.
