With the 84th Academy Award Ceremony tomorrow night, “Carolyn Fox’s Hollywood Spotlight” is celebrating with Oscar-winning and Oscar-nominated songs, as well as other movie music tonight. You’ll hear both of the Best Song nominees for this year, “Real in Rio” and “Man or Muppet,” and can decide for yourself which you think should take the award.
In fact, you can mark your picks on a printable Oscar ballot, and see if the Academy agreed with your choices.
Our featured guest will be actor Robert Davi, perhaps best known for playing a James Bond villain in “License to Kill,” an FBI agent in “Die Hard,” or an agent in the 90′s TV show “Profiler.” In addition to being a fine actor, Davi is also an amazing singer. With the release of his new CD, “Robert Davi Sings Sinatra: On the Road to Romance,” Davi embraces his sensitive side with a collection of love songs made famous by Frank Sinatra. Davi has a special connection with Ol’ Blue Eyes, as his screen debut was opposite Sinatra in the TV movie “Contract on Cherry Street.” Tonight you’ll hear him sing the Oscar-winning song, “All the Way.”
If you are near your radio tonight, tune into “Carolyn Fox’s Hollywood Spotlight” at 1 AM at 1580 AM, or hear the show after it airs at CFoxRocks.com.
