In case you missed the show, click on the last line of this post to hear the entire broadcast of “Carolyn Fox’s Hollywood Spotlight.” Carolyn’s special in-studio guests this week are The Pyle Sisters, Deborah Wedekind nee Pyle, and Missi Pyle and Meredith Pyle, three remarkably talented young women.
You’ll hear tunes from singer songwriter Deborah Wedekind’s newly released CD, “Clear Skies Ahead,” including a powerful track titled “Psalm on Danny Boy.” Plus Deborah graciously sang a brand new, unreleased tune in the studio. This song, “The Plans I Have for You“ is a pop tune with lyrics that could sung to any loved one, whether a mother to a child or an adoring husband to his wife.
Also in the studio was actress, singer Missi Pyle, who may be best known for her role in “The Artist,” which took the Oscar for Best Picture. Missi is part of a desert rock duo called Smith an Pyle, and you’ll her some of her music as well.
In addition, you’ll meet Meredith Pyle, the youngest sister, who has just earned her Masters in Musical Theater and shot her first TV pilot. When the three Pyle Sisters broke into 3-part harmony for a live, in-studio version of “Mr. Sandman,” Meredith set the pitch that got thing rolling.
Thanks for the fun interview Carolyn! We had a blast and you are a sweetheart!
You are most welcome. I’m grateful to you and your sisters for being such talented and entertaining guests. I’m a big fan of the Pyle Sisters.
