Allen Toussaint had a musical career like no other. For decades he wrote the songs that became number one hits. A New Orleans original, Toussaint’s songs have been covered by almost any artist you can name.

Saddened by the news of his recent passing (he was 77 years old), tonight the syndicated broadcast radio show, “Carolyn Fox’s Hollywood Spotlight” honors the late, great Allen Toussaint. Every song on the show was written by and some are performed by, Mr. Toussaint himself.
