Tribute to Prince in Los Angeles Tonight

Prince B&WIf you’re missing the Artist formerly, and forever more, known as Prince, you’re not alone. And you don’t have to be alone tonight in Los Angeles remembering his purple highness.

From 5 PM to 8 PM this evening, a public memorial for Prince will be held in front of the Los Angeles City Hall. There’s no cost for the event.

If you can’t make you way downtown, you can tune your radio to 1580 AM tonight at midnight when Carolyn Fox’s Hollywood Spotlight will feature an hour of Prince’s music.

Of course, you’ll hear tracks like “Raspberry Beret,” “Little Red Corvette” and “Purple Rain.” Plus, a rare, live acoustic set from Prince.

In addition, Prince was an amazing and prolific songwriter. So on the radio show tonight, Carolyn Fox will feature some of Prince’s songs that became hits for other artists, including “Chaka Khan singing “I Feel For You,” and Sinead O’Connor with her monster hit “Nothing Compares 2 U.”

Tune your radio to 1580 AM tonight, Friday, May 6, at midnight to hear this special Prince tribute show on Carolyn Fox’s Hollywood Spotlight if you’re in the Los Angeles or Orange County areas. If your in Baltimore/Annapolis tune in to 810 AM, WYRE at 6 PM Saturday, May 7, and wherever you are, you can check out the podcast of this episode of “Carolyn Fox’s Hollywood Spotlight” on this blog starting Monday, May 9.
