After Hours, Rebecca Zapen on the Surprising Inspiration for her Songs

Rebecca Zapen is an incredibly versatile musician, singer, and songwriter.  In this After Hours interview, she discusses how she became a fine songwriter, and how her musical family contributed to her masterful skills as an accomplished violinist, singer, guitarist, and ukulele player.  She opens up about the real-life inspiration behind some of the songs on her new CD, “Nest,” including her new husband and baby, dressing up like a Robert Palmer girl for Halloween, and experimenting with a new musical style between shows in a meat locker.
