Blues Special on LA Radio Tonight featuring Special Guests Paul Mark and Phil Proctor

Tonight it’s all about the blues when Carolyn Fox hosts her syndicated broadcast radio show, “Carolyn Fox’s Hollywood Spotlight.”  Special guests include Paul Mark of Paul Mark and the Van Dorens, as well as actor and comedian Phil Proctor of The Firesign Theater.

Searing blues guitarist and gifted songwriter Paul Mark will be discussing his new album, “Smartest Man in the Room.”  There’s so much good stuff on this album–radioactive guitar solos, killer groves, white-hot singing and some of the best blues lyrics ever.  And although some of the tracks take listeners to the dark side, Paul Mark & the Van Dorens always deliver blistering beats and a sizzling sound.  This is a brand new release, and you’ll hear several tracks on the show tonight.

In addition, the hilarious Phil Proctor offers a comic lesson on “How to Sing the Blues.”  If you’ve heard Phil’s work with The Firesign Theater, or his voice in “Finding Nemo” or “Monster’s Inc.,” you know how amazingly funny he is.

You’ll also hear musical selections from Eric Clapton, B.B. King, Maria Muldaur, and The Rolling Stones.

So tune your radio 1580 AM at 1 AM tonight in Los Angeles for the Blues Special on Carolyn Fox’s Hollywood Spotlight.”
